Merlin Bird ID is a smart bird identification application that helps users identify birds they see and hear using photos, sounds, and simple questions. Users can answer a few questions about a bird, upload a photo, record its song or call, or explore birds found in a specific region. Powered by eBird and machine learning technology, the app provides bird identification results along with expert tips, range maps, photos, sounds, and detailed information to help users improve their birding skills. Merlin also offers personalized bird recommendations, including a Bird of the Day feature and customized lists of birds that can be found in different locations around the world. Users can keep track of their bird sightings and build a personal bird list. The app supports bird packs with photos, songs, calls, and identification information for regions across the world.
